Hi! I'm Riley, I'm Australian, 19, studying Nutritional Medicine at University, have been modelling on and off for 6 years and I'm about to travel the world. This is my visual diary and personal journey to health, happiness and fitness.
Am I vegan? A raw foodist? I'm not into labels - so, when people ask me that question, I simply reply: "I eat what I want, when i want it." My only rule is: If I don't enjoy eating it, it doesn't make me feel nourished or zaps me of energy, I don't eat it. I'm not trying to live forever, I just want to feel as good as I can while i'm alive..
I want to inspire happiness and determination.

Healthy Baking Substitutions

And coconut oil is the best substitute for virtually any oil or butter product there is. It’s incredible. Solidified coconut oil? A great butter substitute. Liquid coconut oil? Does everything you need that oil can do.

Not to mention it works wonders for the skin, scalp, and hair.

Google it if you don’t believe me.

as a culinary major, i just have to say that the cream substitute is actually extremely misleading.

yes, it is a good substitute, but evaporated milk is EXTREMELY bad for you. much, much worse than any cream products i have ever used. if it was pure, organic evaporated milk (which doesn’t really exist) then it would be fine, but the chemicals they put into carnation evaporated milk is sooooo very horrible.

i have chef professors that have been in the culinary field for years and years, who wouldn’t use evaporated milk if you begged them to.

Yes, yes, yes. So true. I generally avoid recipes that call for cream, and when I wasn’t vegan, I would just go with the cream anyway. Rather have that than all the chemicals you’d mentioned.

It’s like having pepsi zero, or coke zero. They put so much aspartame in there that you might as well drink the regular, because at least you’re not having chemicals in there that will probably kill you (provided you take just the right amount of them to do so).
